Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2021, the engineering entrance exam, will be held from February 23-26, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said. 

The exam will be held four times in a year, in February, March, April and May. The first session
examination will be held from February 23-26, 2021.

The results will be
declared after four to five days from the last date of exam.

In light of promoting multilingualism under the National
Education Policy, JEE (Mains) 2021 will be held in 13 languages —  Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia,
Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, Education Minister added.

The exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, however exam for B. Arch. will be held
in offline mode.

The National Testing
Agency (NTA) has decided that the exam will consist of 90 questions, and candidates
will have to solve any 75 out of them. In remaining 15 optional questions,
there will be no negative marking, he said.

Merit list will be
prepared on the basis of the best score of candidate, he added.
