The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on Tuesday announced the results for its class 10 boards (Madhyamik), with all eligible students having passed the exams this year. The result this year was based on an alternative assessment scheme, Kalyanmoy Ganguly, the board%u2019s secretary, said at a press conference.

79 students are tied as top-ranked in with scores of 679 marks %u2013 the highest achievable – this year, he said. In an official notification seen by NDTV, he said there will be no merit list this time. %u201CClass 10 (Madhyamik) candidates can download the score sheet by logging on to designated websites from 10 am on Tuesday,%u201D he said. 

Results have been made available at wbresults.nic.in and 16 other official and unofficial websites from 10 am onwards. Students can also check their results at wbbse.wb.gov.in. Results will also be available via sms and mobile app.

A total of 10,79,749 students had appeared for the exam this year, out of which 4,65,850 were boys and the rest were girls. All students have passed. Last year%u2019s passing percentage was 

Announcing the results, Ganguly said students will need their registration numbers and date of birth to check their results on the official websites. 

Mark sheets, certificates and admit cards will be available at camp offices from 10 am onwards. Students and their parents can get their respective documents from school heads. 

The WBBSE class 10 boards were cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Results have been calculated by taking last year%u2019s results into consideration.
