The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday released the results for the JEE Main examinations conducted from February 24-26. Nearly 6.6 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.

Six candidates, all boys, scored 100 percentile in the exam. They are Pravar Kataria and Ranjim Prabal Das from Delhi, Guramrit Singh from Chandigarh, Saket Jha from Rajasthan, Sidhanth Mukherjee from Maharashtra and Ananth Krishna Kidambi from Gujarat.

A total of 22 lakh students have registered for the JEE Main exams this year and while the number of candidates that will be shortlisted for the JEE Advanced has not been confirmed yet, if it remains the same at 2.5 lakh, then the expected cut-off is likely to rise this year.

Assuming the number of candidates for JEE Advanced will remain at 2.5 lakh, a percentile of 92 or above will be needed to make the cut from a pool of over 22 lakh applicants.
