‘Jurassic World Dominion‘ saw an end to the franchise which first began when Steven Spielberg came out with the original film in 1993, changing the landscape of American cinema, as viewers were amazed to see dinosaurs coming to life on screen.
With T-rexes and many other heavies, over the films, the franchise has expanded but the final outing pays a nostalgic tribute by bringing back known faces. One of them is Sam Neill, who plays Dr Alan Grant.
Speaking ahead of his return, the New Zealand-born actor said to The Hollywood Reporter, “Look, I wanted to make sure that our characters were well served and that it wouldn’t be a nominal return and that we wouldn’t be glorified cameos”, adding, “I wanted to make sure that we’d actually be intrinsic to everything that was going on. So I sat down with Colin and had a lovely lunch. He’s extremely persuasive. He was also reassuring in that our characters would all be well served. We weren’t just being reunited for the sake of it. So from then on, I was as keen as mustard.”
Neill will also be seen in the upcoming ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘ where he reprises the role of ‘Actor Odin’, first seen when Thor returned to Asgard from his planetary travels to find Loki, disguised as Odin, enjoying a play about their lives.
