The Billboard Music Awards 2022 will air on NBC on May 16, featuring an all-star roster of musicians at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Travis Scott is one of this year’s most significant BBMA performers. The rapper will make his first broadcast appearance since ten people were killed in a crushing event during his Astroworld Festival performance in November 2021.

Scott is playing at Diddy’s request, according to BBMAs executive producer Diddy, with the rap icon claiming in an Instagram video, “For the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday I made a request, I made a demand. I said ‘My brother Travis Scott has to perform. I’m executive producing, he has to perform.” “I am uncanceling the canceled,” he said in a message to Revolt.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, on the other hand, will not be performing at the BBMAs in 2022. The band was scheduled to play at the gala for the first time since 1999, but had to cancel due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to the Billboard Music Awards Instagram account. Machine Gun Kelly and Dan + Shay were added to the programme immediately after RHCP’s departure was announced.

When and where to watch the BMAs?

The Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live on NBC on Sunday, May 15, at 8 pm ET.

You have a few options if you want to watch the ceremony live online. Cord cutters can watch the BBMAs on NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock, while cable subscribers can tune in via the NBC website or app livestream with their TV provider data.

Peacock is streaming the ceremony live as it airs on NBC. The ceremony, however, will be available only to those who have one of Peacock’s two paid tiers – Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus.

Although the streaming service no longer provides a free trial, there is a way to watch the Billboard Music Awards live online for free. An NBC live stream is available through online cable alternatives such as YouTubeTV, Hulu Plus Live TV, and Sling. For new subscribers, the majority of these services include a free trial period.
