Heidi Montag, the star from ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’, was seen eating a raw bison heart, while on the streets of Los Angeles, Page Six reported. Montag, who’s 35 years old, was pictured smiling for the cameras while on her new diet. 

In an interview with People, the reality star explained, “I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and a half, I’m willing to try different things”, and added, “It’s a great source of nutrients! I have felt incredible on this diet. A lot more energy, clarity, increased libido, and overall improvement on chronic pain I have had. Also, now I’ve been taking the supplements called ‘Her Package’ from Heart and Soil that has improved my menstrual cycle”.

The ‘Laguna Beach’ alum already has a four-year-old son, Gunner Stone, with her husband Spencer Pratt. Montag shared the risks of eating raw meat saying there’s “always risk eating raw just like eating raw sushi” but also clarified she likes “eating sushi-style organs”. 

Montag continued “Organs are very nutritious parts of animals. Culturally, organs are a critical part. Eating raw liver is going to preserve as many nutrients as possible”.

The mother of one said that she’s adjusted herself to the taste of raw meat, but expressed that she likes cooked versions like foie gras – the liver of a duck or goose fattened by gavage. 

Previously, Montag posted videos on Instagram, where she was seen eating raw liver and bull’s testicles. The star claimed there were numerous benefits of eating liver and animal organs. 

In August 2021, Montag underwent a hysteroscopic polypectomy surgery to conceive again, but by January 2022, she’d shifted to the raw meat diet.

Healthing, a Canadian news outlet, has explicitly noted that there’s no proven link between eating raw meat and increased fertility levels. However, numerous studies exist, that highlight the dangers of consuming raw meat. These include salmonella, E.coli, as well as other bacterial infections.
