Bollywood actorDeepika Padukonejetted off to the French Riviera earlier this week to be ajury member at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival 2022. She has beena regular on the red carpet of the prestigious event. However, this year, the 'Ram Leela' actor is not going to be the only Indian celebrity to make an appearance at Cannes. Actors Akshay Kumar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, music maestro A R Rahman, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, and actor Pooja Hegde will walk the red carpet on the opening day of the 75th Cannes Film Festival as part of the Indian contingent, which will be led by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur. His movie 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', a biographical drama film based on the life of former scientist Nambi Narayanan, will be showcased at the film festival on May 19.
