A microphone issue during Kansas City Chief and Cincinnati Bengal’s AFC championship game led to an exceptional moment in the Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

After Grammy Award-winning artist Ashanti’s mic malfunctioned midway, as she was singing the national anthem, the entire stadium rallied and kept singing, assisting the singer.

The gesture and spirit shown by the Chiefs fans won hearts on social media.

“They did my girl Ashanti so bad by giving her a faulty mic causing the crowd to chip in and help her sing the National Anthem. Big ups to her though for soldiering on. The show must go on!” a Twitter user said.

“Arrowhead having mic issues with Ashanti and making up for it with the entire crowd belting the national anthem is pretty cool,” sports anchor Matt Reynoldson wrote.

Meanwhile, some Kansas City Chiefs fans were seen wearing the  ‘Team Brittany’ shirts and holding posters asking Brittany Matthews, quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ fiancee, to repeat the champagne celebration she had received backlash for. 

The Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals were tied at 24-24 as the game went to overtime.
