The news of Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy has been the talk of Bollywood ever since the mom-to-be announced it. Social media has been flooding the couple with congratulatory messages. 

Alia announced her pregnancy with a delightful hospital photograph of herself and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. The couple married on April 14, this year in their home in Mumbai. The two dated for 5 years before getting married.

Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir’s mom is ecstatic with the news of her becoming a grandmother. The ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’ actress is a judge on ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’.

The team of the dance reality show made a little segue on the show to congratulate the soon-to-be grandmother.

All contenders, their families, and even choreographers came on stage and host Karan Kundra said- “Neetu Ji dadi banne wali hai, apko hum sab ke taraf se dher saari badhayan (Neetu ma’am, you’re going to become a grandma soon, we all wish you best wishes.)”

In response Neetu Singh said- “Isse achchhi news nehi ho sakti. (I can’t see any news being better to me than this.)

Farah Khan expressed her feelings after Neetu., “Chintu ji wapas aarahe hai (Rishi Kapoor is coming back)”. 

To that, an overjoyed Neetu replied a loud and clear- ‘Haan’

The “Chintu ji wapas aarahe hai (Rishi Kapoor is coming back)” struck an emotional chord with the audience. 

Rishi Kapoor passed away in 2020 following a protracted fight with cancer. Neetu has previously revealed in interviews with the media that her late husband’s dying wish was for Ranbir to wed Alia.

After receiving a leukaemia diagnosis in 2018, Kapoor sought treatment in New York City. On September 26, 2019, he returned to India following a year of effective therapy.

On April 29, 2020, he was admitted to Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital due to breathing problems.

He passed away from leukaemia on April 30, 2020. His passing occurred less than a day after Irrfan Khan, a renowned actor and his D-Day co-star, passed away from a colon infection.
