Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodríguez, recently revealed the name of the couple’s newborn daughter on Saturday via Instagram. 

“Bella Esmeralda,” Rodríguez wrote in the caption of the post that consists of a series of images of the newborn resting in a crib while sporting a tiny Moschino ensemble. 

“180422,” the model added, marking her daughter’s date of birth- April 18, 2022.

Rodríguez gave birth to twins, Esmeralda and a newborn son, on April 18. While Esmeralda survived, her twin died moments after being born.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced the death of their newborn son through a statement on their social media handles.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” they said, adding that their baby girl “gives the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

On April 24, days after the death of his son, Ronaldo revealed that the couple brought home their newborn daughter from the hospital.

“Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us,” he wrote as the caption of a picture of the family sitting on a couch with the infant.

“We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family,” he said.

“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world,” he added. 

The couple, who began dating in 2016, also share Alana, their 4-year-old daughter. 

Ronaldo is also the father of 11-year-old Cristiano Jr., whose mother’s identity has been kept under the wraps. 

The 37-year-old also has two 4-year-old twins, Mateo and Eva, who were born via surrogacy in 2017.
