After a video of the pair having a hearty conversation during an award show went viral, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are once again generating a lot of discussion online. Since Dharma Productions revealed the recasting of Dostana 2 last year, Kartik and Karan have been in the news frequently.

When Varun Dhawan approaches the actor and drags him onto the stage to perform to the tune The Punjaabban Song, they can be seen sitting together and laughing in the fan-posted video on Twitter.

At least according to the popular video, everything appears to be fine between the two now.

How sweet #KartikAaryan is being cordial and kind with Karan, one fan commented in response to the video, while another noted, “It’s called being civil and not attempting to create a scene in public, unlike what Varun did.” Another remarked, “Hatchets buried I guess?”

Dostana 2 was supposed to star Janhvi Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani, and Kartik Aaryan. However, the actor was fired from the project last year. On the Instagram account for Dharma Productions, Karan Johar posted the following statement: “We will be changing the cast of Collin D’Cunha’s Dostana 2 due to professional reasons for which we have chosen to keep a respectful silence. Please hold off till the announcement is made officially.”

Kartik Aaryan was recently questioned about his apparent conflict with Karan Johar and whether it would influence his performance while promoting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. He remarked in a statement to The Indian Express, “Just on my work, I suppose. That is all I have to say about this.” Added he, “People occasionally create “baat ka batangad,” which is what happens (make a mountain out of a molehill). Nothing further needs to be said. Nobody else has such time. Everyone only wants to work and provide quality work. Everything else is simply conjecture.”

Kartik Aaryan is currently enjoying the success of his most recent film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, on the professional front. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, marks Karan Johar’s return to the director’s chair.
