Farrukhabad assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh (UP) will see Louise Khurshid of the Indian National Congress (INC) take on Major Sunil Dutt Dwivedi of the BJP, Suman Maurya of the Samajwadi Party, Vijay Kumar Katiyar of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and Neeraj Pratap Shakya of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the 2022 Assembly elections.

Sunil Dutt Dwivedi had won the seat in 2017 Assembly elections, defeating runner-up Mohd. Umar Khan of the BSP by a margin of 45,427 votes.

The Assembly constituency is falling under Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Mukesh Rajput won the seat with a margin of 221702 votes by defeating Manoj Agarwal of the BSP.

The Farrukhabad assembly constituency will vote in the third phase of the UP Assembly elections in 2022 on February 20, when 59 assembly seats, spread across 16 districts, will go to the polls. UP is voting in seven phases, and the last phase will be held on March 3.
