Profit booking kept gold prices at four-week lows on Tuesday. The bullion’s attractiveness was further hampered by a strong US dollar and rising bond yields.

On Tuesday, Asian equities fell as Wall Street entered a bear market milestone and bond rates reached a two-decade high on worries that aggressive US interest rate rises will push the world’s largest economy into recession.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,636.00 per 10 gm, down 28 points or 0.06%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 60,317.00 per kg, up 6 points or 0.01%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,827.42 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.27. Platinum was trading at $939.52 while palladium was trading at $1,821.75.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,200 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 60,912 per kg on Monday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 766.50 up 0.39% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 669.20 and Rs 224.25 per Kg respectively on MCX.

According to the Good Returns website, Ten grammes of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,360 in Mumbai, Kolkata, and New Delhi. In Chennai, the same quantity of the in-demand metal is purchased for Rs 48,430.

The 24-carat gold pricing is Rs 52,760 for ten grammes of the metal in Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. In Chennai, the same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,830.

Ten grammes of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,410 and Rs 48,510 in Pune and Jaipur, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat yellow gold costs Rs 52,810 in Pune and Rs 52,910 in Jaipur.

Ten grammes of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,360 in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The same amount of 22-carat purity is also traded at the same price in Vishakhapatnam, Mysore, and Bhubaneswar. In all of the following places, ten grammes of 24-carat gold is worth Rs 52,760.
