Gold, silver and other metal prices on Wednesday, May 11, 2022

- Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,350.00 per 10 gm, down 236 points or 0.47%
- Silver futures were trading at Rs 60,383.00 per kg, down 235 points or 0.39%
- Platinum was trading at $979.50 while palladium was trading at $2,074.00
In the Indian market, gold prices fell to near 3-month lows ahead of monthly US inflation data, which analysts say could have some impact on Federal Reserve’s monetary policy stance.
Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell sharply on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,350.00 per 10 gm, down 236 points or 0.47%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 60,383.00 per kg, down 235 points or 0.39%.
In global markets, gold was priced at $1,838.05 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.50. Platinum was trading at $979.50 while palladium was trading at $2,074.00.
In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,260 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 61,473 per kg on Tuesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.
Copper futures were trading at Rs 757.25 up 0.50% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 578.90 and Rs 233.60 per Kg respectively on MCX.
In New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, 10 grams of 22-carat gold are being traded at Rs 47,100, according to the Good Returns website.
In Chennai, the same quantity of gold is being traded at Rs 48,460.
The 24-carat gold rates, 10 grams of it in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata are being sold at Rs 51,380. The same amount of 24-carat purity is being traded-in Chennai at Rs 52,860.
In Pune and Ahmedabad, 10 grams of 22-carat gold are being purchased at Rs 47,200 and Rs 47,160 respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 51,500 in Pune and Rs 51,400 in Ahmedabad.
In Hyderabad and Bengaluru, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 47,100, whereas in Kerala, the same quantity of 22-carat purity is valued at Rs 47,250. Similarly, in Bhubaneshwar, Vijayawada, and Mysore, the same amount of 22-carat purity is also being sold at Rs 47,100. Moreover, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is valued at Rs 51,380 in all the above areas.
The ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,660 and Rs 47,250 in Jaipur and Lucknow, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,530 in Vadodara and Jaipur.
In Nashik and Coimbatore, 10 grams of 22-carat gold are being sold at Rs 47,200 and Rs 48,460 today. The same quantity of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,500 in Nashik and Rs 52,860 in Coimbatore.
