If Rashid Khan manages to dismiss four Lucknow Super Giants batters on Tuesday, he will become the third bowler to reach the 450-wicket mark in T20s. The Gujarat Titans will meet KL Rahul and co at the MCA Stadium, Pune. 

Rashid Khan has 446 T20 wickets in 322 matches against his name, including international and domestic. The 23-year-old is third on the all-time wicket-takers chart in the format. The only two ahead of him, Dwayne Bravo (587) and Imran Tahir (451), have taken more than 450 wickets in T20s.

If the Afghanistan leg-spinner takes a five-wicket haul against Lucknow, he will overtake Imran Tahir and become the second-highest wicket-taker in T20s. 

Khan took 83 matches to reach his 100th IPL wicket. The Gujarat Titans mainstay achieved the milestone while playing the Kolkata Knight Riders last month. Lasith Malinga did it in 70 games and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in 82. However, the Afghan is by far the youngest to reach this landmark. No other bowler was able to do so at an age less than 26 years.

He currently has 104 IPL wickets against his name in 87 games. In IPL 2022, the 23-year-old has taken 11 in as many games at an average of 27.36 and economy rate of 6.40 rpo. Khan’s best figures this season is 3-22.

One more milestone, Khan is chasing is 100 T20 sixes. He is two maximums away.

The Gujarat Titans will need their batters to fire when they take on high-flying Lucknow Super Giants. While they led the points table for most part of the league, Lucknow moved ahead of them to take the top spot.

The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat side’s winning streak came to an end with back-to-back losses against Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians last week.
