The services of social media platform Instagram were briefly disrupted on Tuesday night. The outage resulted in several users receiving a message of “couldn’t refresh feed.”

According to Downdetector, the application was down since 10:45 pm. Reports suggest that users experienced issues in loading profiles and feeds. However, stories, reels and preloaded content on the platform worked smoothly.

The outage was reported in several Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Indore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and others.

The platform is yet to issue a statement on the outage.

After being unable to load content, internet users flocked to Twitter to report the issue and create memes based on it.

One user wrote, “Coming here to see if Instagram is down again or not,” and shared a still from ‘The Simpsons’.

Another user wrote, “Me checking twitter if instagram is down or not,” and shared an image of American television host Wendy Williams.
