In the 31st game of the Indian Premier League, Lucknow Super Giants won the toss against Royal Challengers Bangalore and decided to field. The match is being held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

Both teams will lock horns for a superior spot in the points table with unchanged teams. Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul said the competition was at a stage where all teams would have picked to field first.

“It is good to keep my game on the toes. Coming into the game excited wanting to do well for my team”, KL Rahul said after winning the toss.

Faf du Plessis, the captain for Royal Challengers Bangalore, said that his team has been playing well so far and he expects the momentum to continue against the Lucknow Super Giants, which was branded as a “strong team.”

Pitch report, as given by Kevin Pietersen: “One side boundary is 66 metres, the other side is 78m. The surface seems very dry and has less grass on one end compared to the other end.”

He added, “I expect the seamers to prefer the end where they can bowl with more grass. I don’t think the captains are going to change their approach, they are going to bowl.”

All eyes will be on Royal Challengers Bangalore’s wicketkeeper- batter Dinesh Karthik, who has been in a solid form since the start of the season. He said that playing for the Indian cricket team will be his “long-term goal.”
