Kolkata Knight Riders faced two consecutive defeats in the hands of Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderbad after they had won three matches in IPL 2022. Now, Shreyas Iyer and co will look to get back to winning ways when they face the Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Monday.

KKR faced a 44-run defeat against Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals before they were beaten by the Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets. They had earlier lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore. With three wins and as many losses this season, the two-time IPL champions are on the sixth rung of the points table. 

The only consistent performer for KKR with the bat is Andre Russell. The West Indies player has scored 179 runs in six matches this season. He has also chipped in with with five wickets. In the bowling department, none, except pacer Umesh Yadav (10 wickets from 6 matches) has been up to expectations.

The Rajasthan Royals on the other hand have won three and lost two games this season. They have IPL 2022’s highest wicket-taker Yuzvendra Chahal (12 wickets) and run-scorer Jos Buttler (272 runs from five matches).
