MS Dhoni smashed six and two boundaries in the 20th over of Chennai Super Kings‘ innings to chase down a 156 runs target against Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. In the meantime, Mumbai Indians suffered seven straight losses. The five-time champions are now without a win in IPL 2022.

Dhoni,40, was unbeaten on 28 off 13 balls. He hit three boundaries and a six to finish off things in his own vintage fashion at a strike rate of 215.38. He got ample support from Dwaine Pretorius, who scored 22 off 14 balls.

Dhoni’s last over blitz means Daniel Sams’ four wickets for 30 runs in four overs went in vain.
