Hayden, who was on the mic during the RR vs LSG match, had offered a piece of advice to Parag after the Assam cricketer mocked the third umpire for his decision.

“I have got some advice for you young man, cricket is very very long game and we all have very long memories. Never ever tempt fate because it comes around quickly,” Hayden said from the commentary box.

During the IPL 2022 match between RR and LSG, Parag’s gesture after taking a low catch to dismiss Marcus Stoinis didn’t go down well with the fans and commentators.

Paraga pretended to touch the ball on the ground in response to his previous catch which the umpire ruled as not out as the evidence had suggested that the ball had touched the grass before settling into his palms.

When Parag got another opportunity, he took a clean catch to send Stoinis packing. However, Hayden and Ian Bishop, who was also on-air, were not impressed with Parag’s behaviour.

“Future will determine that,” added the West Indies great.

It must be noted that this is not the first time Parag faced criticism.
