Music maestro AR Rahman amped up the spirits of an already spirited audience occupying Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium for the IPL 2022 closing ceremony on Sunday.

After Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh‘s energetic dance performance set the stage on fire, Rahman’s hit tracks like ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’ reverberated across the stadium.

Along with backup singers and dancers, Rahman sang ‘Ma Tujhe Salam’ as Indian flags were being waved all around. Actor Akshay Kumar was also spotted in the audience.

With music in the air, Ranveer Singh took a lap around the arena, hi-fiving Rajasthan Royals‘ R Ashwin who was standing along the boundary.

As Rahman performed ‘Jai Ho’, Singh danced on the stage with a mic in hand.
