US President Joe Biden on Monday called Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy “a stupid son of a b–h” after the latter asked him whether “inflation was a political asset” to him.

The incident took place during a White House event on the Biden administration’s efforts to combat inflation.

At one point during the event, Biden complained that all the questions from the press were related to military buildup around Ukraine.

Following this, Doocy shouted, “Will you take questions about inflation? Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?”

Assuming that his microphone was turned off, Biden responded sarcastically, “No, that’s a great asset. More inflation.”

“What a stupid son of a b—h,” he added.

Though Biden’s vulgar insult was cut from the White House video feed, it was audible on video streamed by C-SPAN.

Just an hours after the incident, Doocy, who is the son of “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy, told “Special Report” host Bret Baier, “He didn’t want to take any questions off-topic. He was at an event about inflation, and so I asked one on inflation.”

Earlier in the day, the reporter tried to ask a question to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, suggesting that the president is to blame for the stock market drop.

“Does the president think it’s a big deal that today the Dow Jones is down at one point more than 1100 points?” he asked.

Psaki was quick to turn it into some shade at former president Donald Trump.

“Well, to start with, we focus on the trends in the economy, not any one day and any single indicator, unlike his predecessor, the president does not look at the stock market as a means by which to judge the economy,” she replied.
