It’s been three years, and it seems like American singer-songwriter Kid Rock is still standing by everything he mentioned in his drunken tirade against talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

The 51-year-old addressed the controversy in a recent interview with Tucker Carlson for the documentary ‘Life of a Rockstar: Kid Rock’.

Sporting a bright red and blue trucker hat, Rock said, “A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts. I own what I said. I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f—in’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f— Oprah,” according to Billboard.

What happened in 2019?

Three years ago, a video clip of Rock expressing that he disliked Winfrey went viral on social media.

The clip featured a drunk Rock taking the stage and addressing a crowd.

“F**k Oprah Winfrey, f***k Kathie Lee Gifford. I am not the bad guy. I am the guy that you say, “Hey, he is f***king cool,” he said in the video, according to TMZ.

“I’m like, Oprah Winfrey or Joy Behar, they can suck d— sideways,” he continued.

Soon after the video went viral, Rock dropped another statement on Twitter.

“My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show…I said f**k that and her. End of story,” he wrote.

Sorry not sorry

Fast forward to today, it seems like Rock hasn’t had a change of heart. In the interview with Carlson, the singer said that he meant everything he said about Winfrey. However, he expressed disappointment over the statements he made in 2019 about comedian Kathy Griffin.

Has Oprah Winfrey said something?

The 68-year-old has managed to keep a stoic attitude and has refrained from paying any heed to Kid Rock, as well as his drunken antics.
