The
Met Gala, one of the most coveted and anticipated annual events has never
failed to enthrall hearts. Similarly, the Met Gala 2022 which is going to be
nothing short of spectacular is set to take place at the Metropolitan Museum of
Art in New York City to raise money for the museum’s ‘Costume Institute’.

From
Kim Kardashian‘s all-black ‘dementor-like’ ensemble to Kendall Jenner’s
deceptively nude and sparkly gown, from Frank Ocean’s green robotic ‘baby’ to
Simon Biles and Precious Lee’s 40 kg outfits, from Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s
gown that said ‘Tax the Rich’ to Bennifer‘s masked kiss, the Met Gala 2021
provided plenty of fodder for the gossipmongers.

The
Met Gala 2022 has gained more significance in light of the fact that the
coronavirus pandemic had dulled the celebrations in the last two years. Met Gala
which happens on the first Monday of May every year, is equivalent to a spring
festival, except it’s a much more glamorous and star-studded fashion affair.
However, last year’s gala took place in as late as September, and the 2020 gala
was cancelled owing to the ongoing pandemic. Undoubtedly, fans are quite hyped
up for the 2022 Met Gala.
