The Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual American hot dog eating competition held on July 4th at the Nathan’s Famous corporation in Brooklyn, New York.

The event, which returns after two years to the iconic corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues, dates back to the Fourth of July in 1916 when it was held for the first time.
