The party has started in the Golden State Warriors‘ dressing room. Players and senior staff of ‘the dubs’ were seen celebrating with champagne, cigars, wine and a lot of excitement. Golden State Warriors won their seventh NBA champions title on Thursday after beating Boston Celtics.

Short videos posted on the Warriors’ Twitter page show their star player Stephen Curry popping champagne bottles and spraying it on his teammates, who are seen dancing with the NBA trophy. Curry, who was named the 2022 NBA Finals MVP, had also clenched a cigar between his teeth.

Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and other players of the Golden State Warriors were spotted holding champagne-filled golden goblets. The championship trophy was being passed around the room.

The champions also had a custom-made bottle of Moet champagne. The expensive-looking bottle was inscribed with “2022 FINALS” and also had the NBA logo.

Here is a video:

“I am happy for everybody, but I am thrilled for Steph,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said as the champagne was spraying about in the champions’ locker room in Boston after Golden State’s title-clinching win. “To me, this is his crowning achievement in what has already been an incredible career.”

His resume is impressive. Curry is an eight-time All-Star, a two-time NBA MVP, one of them unanimously, a two-time scoring champion, All-Star Game MVP, now is a four-time champion — and, finally, an NBA Finals MVP, also by unanimous decree.

Stephen Curry scored 34 points as the Warriors claimed the franchise’s seventh championship overall. But he has not had the easiest journey.

Curry has already changed the dynamics of the NBA and is now making the case for the ‘GOAT’ tag. Curry, along with the Warriors, reached the big leagues in 2018 before plummeting to the bottom of the NBA. And now the Warriors have again climbed to the top and redeemed themselves.
