An adorable video of a cat named Nelly reacting to her father’s return is taking over the internet. Her overjoyed reaction to meeting her human has received a lot of attention on social media.

The video begins with a cat named Nelly sitting on a chair next to a workstation. She leaps from her chair as the person filming the video says, “He’s here.”

The caption of the video reads, “FINALLY!!! I’ve been waiting all day.”

Nelly then walks up to the door and climbs on her hind legs, as if she absolutely can not wait for it to open. When that happens, Dad appears.

The video, which was posted about a week ago, has received over 48,000 likes and several wonderful comments on Instagram.

Reacting to the video, one user commented- “this is what people who dislike cats don’t understand, they greet us at the door,” with crying emojis.
