Nittany Lion Shrine, Old Main at Penn State University vandalised; probe underway

The Nittany Lion Shrine at the Pennsylvania State University was vandalised overnight, and an investigation is underway to identify the culprits.
According to the university, the vandals broke an ear and splashed red paint on the shrine, which has since been fenced off.

The Penn State University also announced that in light of the vandalisation, the iconic statue would not be available for commencement photos this session.
The vandals, however, did not stop at the shrine, and went on to graffiti Old Main and the Hintz Family Alumni Center with red paint.
