Former US President Donald Trump lashed out at ex-Attorney General William Barr, who dismissed the theories of 2020 election fraud, while testifying at the Jan 6 House committee hearing

Taking to Truth Social, the 45th President of the United States said, “Former A.G. Bill Barr, a RINO if there ever was one, didn’t have the courage or stamina to go after voter fraud—Was afraid he was going to be impeached”. He concluded, “NO GUTS, NO GLORY!!!”

Barr, at the hearing, testified that claims of a massive fraud having determined current president Joe Biden’s win were “completely bogus” and “without merit”.

He laughed while assessing the pro-Trump film ‘2000 Mules’ which shows how a ballot-stuffing conspiracy compromised the election. The 72-year-old attorney said he believed, “the election was not stolen by fraud”, adding that nothing he saw after the election changed his mind. Bringing up the film, Barr noted being “unimpressed with” it.

Barr added, “I was holding my fire to see what the photographic evidence was. The cell phone data is singularly unimpressive … Then when the movie came out, I think the photographic evidence in it is completely … lacking. It didn’t establish widespread, illegal harvesting.”

In Barr’s testimony, he also revealed that shortly before resigning from the Trump administration, he’d become concerned about the former president’s claims that the election had been stolen, despite there being no credible evidence supporting him. Barr indicated that the 76-year-old had become “detached from reality.”

“There was never an indication of interest in what the actual facts were. Before the election, it was possible to talk sense to the president … After the election, he didn’t seem to be listening”, Barr said.

While Trump has dismissed Barr’s testimony, Ivanka, his daughter, testified during the hearing on Thursday that she “respected” the ex-AG and “accepted” his conclusion of the election result being legitimate.
