The Bharatiya Janata Party said on Tuesday that there was no suggestion from the party or Sena dissident Eknath Shinde in light of the political upheavals in Maharashtra, according to the news agency ANI.

At a press conference in Mumbai, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil stated, “So far, there has not been any proposal regarding government formation neither from the BJP nor from Eknath Shinde but anything can happen in politics at any time.”

Patil also said, “It’s too early to say anything, we’re currently waiting & keeping an eye on the situation. Nor Eknath Shinde has sent proposal to BJP for govt formation neither BJP has sent any proposal to him.”

“BJP got support from independents & small political parties for Rajya Sabha & MLC elections. As per our info, Eknath Shinde & 35 MLAs have gone. This means technically state govt is in minority but practically it will take some time for the govt to be in minority,” Patil added.

The Shiv Sena has indeed been hit by a revolt with minister Eknath Shinde and his allies encamped in BJP-ruled Gujarat’s Surat. According to Sena leaders, at least 20 MLAs may have backed Shinde, who has now been dismissed as Sena’s group leader in the state legislature.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, on the other hand, stated that Shinde has been invited to come to Mumbai to rectify the misunderstandings. Shinde, on the other hand, launched an all-out attack on chief minister Uddhav Thackeray when the party ousted him as group leader.
