The Lucknow Super Giants are one win away from becoming the second team to qualify for the IPL 2022 playoffs. KL Rahul and co will take on the Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday.
Lucknow's playoff qualification got delayed after their 62-run loss against the Gujarat Titans. Chasing 145 runs, LSG were dismissed for 82. They are now placed on the second rung of the IPL 2022 points table with eight wins and four losses.
The team is largely dependent on KL Rahul, Quinton De Kock and Deepak Hooda for a major chunk of their runs. The Protea opener has scored three half centuries to accumulate 355 runs from 12 outings. Hooda has 347 runs and three fifties.
The Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, come to this match on the back of an eight-wicket loss against the Delhi Capitals. They are placed on the third rung of the IPL 2022 points table with seven wins and five losses.
RR's batting mainly depends on how orange cap holder Jos Buttler performs. The English batter has scored 625 runs in the season so far. Skipper Sanju Samson will need to step up at the top.
