Football agent Mino Raiola on Thursday dismissed reports about his death, expressing his annoyance at media reports about his demise.

“Current health status for the ones wondering: pissed off second time in 4 months they kill me. Seem also able to ressuscitate,” the 54-year-old tweeted.

Raiola’s physician, Dr. Alberto Zangrillo, also slammed reporters from Italy who first broke the news, saying, “I’m outraged by the phone calls from pseudo-journalists speculating on the life of a man who is fighting to survive.”

Reportedly, the 54-year-old’s friends and family have also shot down rumours of his death, although Sky Sports claims that the super agent is “critically ill” and hospitalised at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.

Reports of the 54-year-old’s death had taken the internet by storm, and even sparked a tribute from Real Madrid’s official Twitter page.

“Real Madrid CF, its president and its Board of Directors deeply regret the death of Mino Raiola and would like to express their condolences … and their affection to all his relatives and loved ones,” Los Blancos said in a now-deleted tweet, shortly after reports about Raiola’s death emerged.

Raiola, the agent of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, among others, is expected to have a busy summer once he recovers, with Haaland and Pogba both reportedly keen on a move from their current clubs.

A ‘super’ agent through and through, Raiola’s breakthrough came in the 1990s when he facilitated Dennis Bergkamp’s transfer to Inter Milan from Ajax. Since then, Raiola has been instrumental in several mega transfers, including Paul Pogba’s £89 million move to Manchester, and Forbes estimates Raiola’s net worth to be around £68 million.
