Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s YouTube channel crossed the 10 million mark today, surpassing all other global leaders. With a viewership of millions, the YouTube channel comprises important announcements, meetings, and interviews.

The channel was created in October 2007 during his chief ministerial tenure in Gujarat. The channel has garnered over 164.31 crore views so far and comprises more than 15,000 videos.

Some of his most viral videos included his welcome at Kashi in 2019 and an interview with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil comes second in the race, with over 3.6 million subscribers on the video platform. Bolsonaro is followed by Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who has over 3.07 million subscribers on the platform. Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia is also a part of the list with around 2.8 million subscribers.

On the other hand, the White House has nearly 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube, with POTUS Joe Biden garnering around 703,000 subscribers on the platform.

Other top Indian political leaders with a massive YouTube subscriber base include, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi (525,000 subscribers), MP of Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor (439,000 subscribers), AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi (373,000 subscribers), Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu (212,000 subscribers), Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia (137,000 subscribers), and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal (59,000 subscribers).

Apart from this channel, the Prime Minister also has an official channel on the platform to share official statements and other announcements. The channel, named as PMO India, has over 1.69 million subscribers.

The political leader is also active on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. The accounts have 753,000 and 468,000 followers respectively.

The Prime Minister recently spoke at the Union Budget meeting and stated, “This budget addresses the immediate needs to ensure the economy is robust. It will also ensure more investment, more infrastructure, more growth.”
