Quinton De Kock will be in action on Sunday when South Africa take on India in the second T20I at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. Temba Bavuma and co lead the five-match series 1-0.

The Proteas chased down India’s 212-run target in the first T20I with seven wickets in hand and five balls to spare. Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller orchestrated the team’s highest run chase in 20-overs cricket. De Kock had scored an 18-ball 22 with the help of three boundaries.

While South Africa will want to strenghthen their grip on the series with a win in Cuttack, their wicketkeeper is on the cusp of joining MS Dhoni in a massive T20I feat. The 29-year-old is one catch away from registering 50 catches in the format. The only other glovesman to do so is the former India skipper.

Dhoni has the most number of wicket-keeper dismissals in T20s with 284 from 358 matches. He has 57 catches and 34 stumping against his name at the international level.

Quinton de Kock is also two sixes away from registering 300 maximums in T20s (domestic and international).

After posting a mammoth 211-run total in the first T20I, India failed to contain the likes of van der Dussen and Miller, who stitched 131 runs for the fourth wicket. The former remained unbeaten on 75 and the latter on 64.
