An astonishing video has come out of Lalitpur railway station of Uttar Pradesh where an elderly woman was pulled out of track just as the train was approaching at full speed. The CCTV footage shows head constable Kamlesh Kumar Dubey warning the woman from crossing the track as the train was approaching. When she still came onto the track with the train approaching, head constable Kamlesh Kumar Dubey jumped to pull her onto the platform without regard for his own safety and within seconds the train passed sparing her life.
The social media handle of the Ministry of Railways posted the footage while calling the actions of Dubey to be courageous it also said “All are requested to use Foot Over Bridge to go from one platform to another”
The RPF head constable’s vigilance and timely action saved the lady from getting hit by the Madhya Pradesh Sampark Kranti Express at Lalitpur Junction. Madhya Pradesh Sampark Kranti Express does not have a stop in Lalitpur and it was at maximum permissible speed and certainly would have killed the elderly woman.
Reacting to the video a user said “ Great. He deserves for real award.” another said “A split second delay would have resulted in disaster. Salute to the gallant of on-duty RPF personnel who saved the woman even though barefoot.”
