The Sonu Sood Foundation has posted online a video of actor Sonu Sood helping a road accident victim. The video, which was shared on Wednesday evening, shows Sonu and his colleagues arriving at an accident site on a highway and escorting an unconscious man to the hospital.

At night, two cars appear to have crashed sideways on the road. Sonu and his friends attempt to open the car doors while the driver remains inside. They go through each door looking for an unlocked one, and Sonu finally gets inside. He drags the man out and carries him in his arms into another car, where he is placed in the backseat as others follow.

The next three clips are from a hospital, where a man is lying on a stretcher, his torso covered in blood. In the footage, Sonu can also be seen waiting for information. A woman approaches him and assures him that everything is alright.

“Every Life Counts,” the Sonu Sood Foundation wrote with the video. Sonu’s actions were also lauded by fans. “In today’s world, everyone needs to help others like you,” one wrote. “As long as I live, I’ll believe that this man Sonu Sood is a living Savior for humanity. Sir, my prayers are always with you. God’s great blessings on you,” said another.

Thousands of people were helped by Sonu to return to their hometowns, and were provided medical and financial assistance during the pandemic. He’s even written a book called I’m Not a Messiah about it.

“It (lockdown) changed my outlook towards life. I will always remember 2020 as a year when we all tried to be the best versions of ourselves. It (memoir) was my way of capturing those moments for posterity. The memoir is extremely special. Right from the time when I began penning down my experiences to the time when it was released a while back, every moment has been special,” the actor told PTI.
