With the second volume of ‘Stranger Things 4’ right around the corner, fans are anticipating exciting plot twists and some character deaths. One such character who could be heading towards the end is Yuri, the Russian smuggler who is a fan of poor jokes, hard cash, and of course, crunchy peanut butter.

Fans are predicting that the character, played by Nikola Djuricko, could become Demogorgon’s next victim after he betrayed everyone. However, the storyline needs him to stay alive in order to help fly the plane and bring the Eagle’ Nest back to the United States.

On the show, Yuri Ismaylov is the middleman in a deal between Enzo and Joyce, and is responsible for collecting money from the latter to help Hopper flee from a Russian prison camp.

While he may appear friendly on the outside, Yuri is all about betrayal. From turning Dmitri in, to spiking drinks, the man does it all with no shame. What adds complexity to his character is fear, which engulfs him several times on the show.

Nevertheless, Yuri has a lot of fans, and horror legend Stephen King is one of them. The 74-year-old author said earlier this month that the recurring antagonist deserves a spinoff show.

“I love that slimy, slinky Russian guy Yuri. He deserves his own show. Like BARRY, only Russian,” King wrote on Twitter.

In another tweet, he praised the fourth season of the mystery show.

“The new season of STRANGER THINGS is really cool–as good or better than the previous three. There’s even a CARRIE riff,” he wrote.

While it is unclear if King’s “slimy, slinky” Yuri will die, the second volume of ‘Stranger Things 4‘ is set to leave viewers on the edge of their seats, with their eyes glued on the dramatic storyline that’s about to unfold.
