Actor Sushant Singh Rajput left an
unforgettable mark in the hearts of his Indian television and film fans. After
nearly two years of his death, fans continue to remember the icon for his
humble persona and gripping acting performances.

On his birth
anniversary, we take a look at the actor’s humble beginnings and journey towards
fame.

Born in Patna, Sushant secured an
all-India rank of 7 in engineering in the year 2003. He then went on to
pursue Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE).

Despite his academic
excellence, Sushant decided to drop out in the third year of engineering to
pursue dance and cinema.

He enrolled himself in choreographer
Shiamak Davar’s dance classes and soon became a background dancer. Sushant
featured in many performances and songs as a background dancer, including the
track ‘Dhoom Again’ from the 2006 film ‘Dhoom 2’. He also performed in actor

but later on learned a lot from Dawar.

 Soon after,
Sushant decided to join Barry John’s acting course and realised his true
purpose. Crediting the acting stint as a turning point in his life, Sushant
told The Times of India in 2011 that Barry had urged him to give a thought to
acting as a full-time career.
