A boat accident on the set of ‘Tales Of the Walking Dead’ has left a crew member hospitalised. 

The accident took place at Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday.

The crew member fell into the river from a high platform, hitting a railing on the way down. The individual, who did not know how to swim, was rescued from the water.

Police and medics were called to the scene and the crew member was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance. His condition was not known. 

Production came to a halt following the accident on Monday and the shooting resumed on Wednesday.

Earlier this year, the show’s lead, Norman Reedus suffered a concussion while filming for the final season, which halted the shooting for a couple of days. 

“Norman suffered a concussion on set. He is recovering well and will return to work soon. Thank you to everyone for their concern,” his representative had said at the time. 

Without sharing the details about the accident, the 53-year-old thanked his fans for their support as he returned to the set. 

“Thank u for the nice thoughts it’s been a week. or two,” he wrote on Instagram. 

“I was in an accident. But getting better getting cleared and gonna be back at work Tuesday they tell me,” he said. 

In 2017, John Bernecker, a stuntman, died after suffering massive head injuries in a fall on the set of the show. Bernecker was rehearsing a fight scene with an actor when he lost his footing and fell 30 feet to a concrete floor. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced brain-dead. He was taken off life support a few days after the accident.
