During a live broadcast, a Russian TV news editor protested by holding a banner that read, ‘They are lying to you.’

Marina Ovsyannikov, a Channel 1 editor, is said to have gatecrashed the prime time news broadcast by carrying a banner behind the news presenter. “NO WAR,” the message said. Stop the war. Don’t fall for the misinformation. They’re lying to you here.”

The demonstrator was shown holding the placard for many seconds before the station broke away from the screen and turned to a different broadcast.
