Virat Kohli is experiencing a lean patch in IPL 2022. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain has scored 216 runs in 12 matches at an average of 19.64 and strike rate of 111.34. His highest scored of 58 off 53 balls came against the Gujarat Titans

Kohli, for the first time in his career, has been dismissed for three golden ducks in a span of 10-odd games. He has three single-digit scores this season. Against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, in RCB’s last game, after being given out for nought, the former India captain did a facepalm on his way back to the dugout. His reaction, utter shock, went viral.

In the last match, SRH spinner Suchith sent the ball drifting into Virat Kohli’s pads, first delivery of the innings, and that star batter ended up flicking it straight to short midwicket. Kane Williamson took and easy catch. He had recorded back-to-bak golden ducks vs the Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

However, Kohli said that with the golden ducks, he has ‘seen everything in this game’. The RCB batter, in conversation with Danish Sait aka RCB’s very own Mr Nags, joked about his form.

Sait jokingly said that Kohli’s favourite animals must be ‘two ducks’, a dig on his nought scores.

“First-ball ducks. After the second one (duck), I actually realised what It feels like to be like you (Mr Nags character), absolutely helpless. It hasn’t happened to me ever in my career, I think . I have seen everything now. It’s been so long, I have seen everything in this game,” Kohli told Danish Sait for RCB Insider.

The 33-year-old further said that he is he keeps his television on mute in a bid to avoid “outside noise”.

“They can’t be in my shoes. They can’t feel what I feel. They can’t live my life. They can’t live those moments. How do you cut out the noise? You either mute the TV or don’t pay attention to what people are saying. I do both those things,” Kohli added.

RCB are placed fourth on the IPL 2022 points table with seven wins in 12 games. They are scheduled to play the Punjab Kings and the Gujarat Titans in the next two weeks.
