On Thursday, six passengers on a KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) flight from Manchester to Amsterdam engaged in a serious physical fight before being detained and hauled away by police.

Two of the men can be seen holding a passenger down while another passenger who is wearing a blue Stone Island sweatshirt repeatedly punches him in the footage provided by Twitter user @MayaWilkinsonx.

The flight’s captain and crew can be seen attempting to break up the brawl, but his efforts are mainly futile. According to the passenger who posted the video.

One of the six passengers involved in the altercation was mildly injured, according to Dutch News. The incident has been confirmed by the Dutch Military Police, who is in charge of airport security, and an investigation into the six British men’s behaviour has begun.

According to The Daily Mail, the passenger who posted the video on Twitter revealed that they had just landed in Amsterdam and that the fight had been brewing the entire time, and that they almost fought halfway through the flight. The brawl between the British nationals erupted after one group made a racist remark about an Asian passenger.

“Yesterday we had some unruly passengers on our KLM 1070 flight from Manchester to Amsterdam. The captain and cabin crew put an end to a brawl between two groups of passengers. All involved were arrested upon arrival at Schiphol Airport. No delay occurred, KLM does not tolerate aggression against employees or passengers. We apologise to our passengers who may have been affected by the incident.” A representative for the airline stated on Friday.

The Dutch military police, who are in charge of airport security, has begun an inquiry but have not yet stated what will happen to the individuals.
