A video of a young man, Pradeep Mehra, jogging from Noida to Barola at midnight is doing the rounds on social media. The 19-year-old can be seen covering the 10 km stretch, refusing a ride from filmmaker Vinod Kapri, who chanced upon the individual by accident.

Kapri wrote on Twitter along with the video, “This is PURE GOLD Last night at 12 o’clock on the road of Noida, I saw this boy running very fast with a bag on his shoulder. I thought he would be in some trouble and I should offer him a lift. However, he declined my repeated offers. You will fall in love with this child if you listen to the reason”.

In the video, Kapri can be heard offering the man a lift, which he refuses. He says, “I always run on my way back home. I work in McDonalds, Sector 16. I run back home at night because otherwise I don’t get time to run.”

He’s asked why he needs to jog, to which the jogger replies “To join the army”, and adds, “In the mornings, I’m not able to wake up and run, as I have to go to work by 8 am and cook food”.

Kapri can also be heard teasing the jogger, saying that the clip will go viral. However, the young man shows scepticism and asks “Who will recognise me?” Thereon, the jogger adds that he isn’t doing anything wrong, and it is okay if the clip goes viral.
