Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt is leaving no stone unturned to promote her upcoming film, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. From doing the film’s iconic hand gesture during promotions to dancing at the film’s track ‘Dholida’, the 28-year-old actor has been creating a buzz on social media. 

Recently, a video of Alia dancing with her ‘Gully Boy’ co-star Ranveer Singh went viral on the internet. The duo is seen laughing and doing the signature dance step of the folk number ‘Dholida’. 

The 26-seconds long video shows Ranveer holding Alia’s hand, moving to the beats of the track. Alia then joins, and the duo performs the hook step of the track.

The ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actor is seen wearing a white floral saree with pink details. Ranveer is seen wearing a casual t-shirt denim ensemble. The black backdrop has fairy lights and traditional dhols placed on the ground. 

The video concludes with Ranveer leaving and Alia blowing him a goodbye kiss. 

Uploaded yesterday, the Instagram video has garnered over 56,000 views. 

One Instagram user wrote, “looove.” Another user added, “That’s my man.”

The dance track features Alia Bhatt as Gangubai Kathiawadi, sporting a white saree in the Kamathipura area. The track is composed by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and choreographed by Kruti Mahesh. Jahnvi Shrimankar and Shail Hada are the vocalists of the track. The music video of the dance number has garnered over 26 million views on YouTube.

The film is inspired by the life of Gangubai Kathiawadi, a matriarch icon who gained prominence in the criminal underworld. The film is Alia Bhatt’s first project with Bhansali. Ranveer Singh has worked with the director in a number of films including ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, and ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Emraan Hashmi, and Huma Qureshi. The film will hit theatres on February 25, 2022.
