Karolina
Bielawska of Poland won the crown jewel of the 70th edition of the Miss World
pageant in Puerto Rico. Shree Saini of the United States finished as the first
runner-up while Olivia Yace of Côte d’Ivoire is the second runner-up. 22-year-old
Karolina Bielawska was crowned by her predecessor Jamaican Toni-Ann Singh. The
much-awaited contest, which was postponed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, saw 40 contestants participating in the event from across the world. Out of
these 40 divas, 13 contestants made it to the Top 12 that too with a tie.
Manasa Varanasi was the only contestant from India and she finished in the Top
13 but failed to finish among the Top 6 winners.

The
winner Miss World 2021 pageant Karolina, who speaks Polish and English, is
currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Management and she wishes to continue
her studies with a PhD, her profile on Miss World Organisation stated. Apart
from studies, she also works as a model and she aims to become a motivational
speaker. Swimming, scuba diving, playing racquet sports like tennis and
badminton are her hobbies.

In
a post on their Instagram account, the Miss World Organisation wrote that
Karolina is passionate about taking up voluntary work and that she always keeps
himself engaged in such work. Her Beauty with a Purpose project, called Zupa Na
Pietrynie, came to the aid of homeless people and it raised awareness among
people of this maniac. She also vows to fight against the social exclusion of
these homeless people.

Through
her project, every weekend, she also hopes to provide hot meals, food packages,
drinks, clothing, masks, law advice and professional medical support for almost
300 people in need in Lodz, a city in Poland.

“Many
of these people did not have access to register for a Covid-19 vaccine but the
project was able to get Governmental permission for over 400 people to receive
their vaccinations. The project also built the first Social Bathroom for people
in the homelessness crisis in Lodz,” the Miss World page wrote.
