Megan Barnard, a Fox Sports reporter, has spoken about the firing of her former colleague Tom Morris, who had made homophobic and sexist comments about her in a leaked Whatsapp chats.

Morris was fired after a Fox Sports Australia investigation discovered that he had “crossed the line” by making sexist remarks about Barnard’s sexual orientation in a vulgar WhatsApp chat that went viral.

Who is Megan Barnard?

Megan Barnard is a sports anchor for Fox Sports News Australia. She previously worked as a sports presenter for Sky News Australia. 

Barnard was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on September 4, 1984. She studied at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Barnard completed her Bachelor’s in  Mass Communication, majoring in Journalism. 

Barnard started as a Sports reporter at NBN Television. She joined Sky News Australia in 2007.

She then switched to Fox News, where she covers sports for NRL tonight and the Fox League’s Thursday Night Football. Barnard is a popular member of the team, with over 15.3K Instagram followers.

What is NRL Tonight?

The National Rugby League (NRL) is Australia and New Zealand’s premier rugby league club competition. Barnard is a regular host for NRL Tonight on Fox Sports News, Australia’s only 24-hour sports channel.

Barnard began working on the sidelines of NRL matches and covering the latest news on Friday Night Footy in 2016.
