England cricketer Stuart Broad‘s fiancé Mollie King announced on Wednesday that she is pregnant with her first child.

“Stuart and I are so so happy to share that we’re expecting a baby later this year! We’re absolutely over the moon,” she captioned an Instagram post that features Broad kissing her baby bump.  

Mollie Elizabeth King is an English musician and a member of the band- The Saturdays. She has had 13 top-ten and eight top-five singles with the group, including the hit ‘What About Us’. 

Before joining The Saturdays, King was a part of the Fallen Angelz band, with whom she starred on ‘The X Factor’. 

Mollie King was born on June 4, 1987,  in the London borough of Wandsworth to Susan and Stephen King.

She attended London’s Surbiton High School, where she joined the school’s ski team. At the age of 11, King was given a scholarship to the British Ski Academy. Later on, she skied for the British Alpine squad, but decided to end her sports career to pursue music.

In 2007, King joined The Saturdays. The next year, the group’s debut single, ‘If This Is Love’, ranked eighth in the United Kingdom. King has had several hit tracks with the group, including ‘Up, ‘Issues’, ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ and ‘Forever Is Over’.

In 2015, she announced that she had signed an individual deal with Island Records, in order to release her debut solo album.

King has made several television appearances, such as in ‘Hollyoaks Later’ episodes, BBC show ‘Myths’ and ‘The King is Dead’. She also starred in ‘The Saturdays: 24/7’, a reality show based on her band. 

King got engaged to Stuart Broad on January 1, 2021. On June 23, 2022, the 35-year-old artist made her pregnancy announcement on her Instagram handle.
