The 28th Critics’ Choice Awards, celebrating the best works of filmmaking and television programming in 2022, will be presented out on January 15, 2023, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California.  Chelsea Handler will serve as the ceremony’s host, and it will be televised on The CW. The nominations for television has released today (December 6, 2022), and those for films will be announced on December 14, 2022.

Nominations

The Emmy-winning ABC comedy Abbott Elementary took the top spot among nominees for the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards, earning six nods in total, including nominations for best comedy series and for actors Quinta Brunson, Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Chris Perfetti, and Tyler James Williams.

Better Call Saul is also a series that has been nominated for five awards, including best drama series and acting nominations for performers Carol Burnett, Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, and Giancarlo Esposito.

The 28th annual Critics Choice Awards will be held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, and air live on The CW from 7:00 – 10:00 pm ET.

HBO/HBO Max scored the most nominees with a combined 21, followed by FX and Netflix with 15 each.
