Doctor Who will mark its 60th anniversary with a series of special episodes. Three specials will be screened in November 2023 to commemorate Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary. The BBC and Disney Branded Television announced in October 2022 that the specials would be the first Doctor Who episodes to be streamed internationally on Disney+; it will continue to air on BBC One in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
As part of the 60th anniversary, David Tennant and Catherine Tate will reprise their roles as the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble, respectively. Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley, and Chanya Button each directed one of the three specials. When Bad Wolf became a co-producer of the series, production was shifted from Roath Lock Studios to Wolf Studios; filming began in May 2022 and was completed by July.

Here is the list of 5 best Doctor Who companions
1) Rose Tyler
Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), the antithesis of the original Doctor Who companion, accompanied Doctors Nine (Christopher Eccleston) and Ten (David Tennant). An ordinary girl turned remarkable by fate, she was strong, brilliant, and independent, frequently questioning the Doctor’s decisions while staying deeply loyal to him.
2) Rory Williams
At first, Rory was the quiet, obedient boyfriend who rode along with his brash girlfriend and an alien in a flying blue box. But during the course of his numerous seasons, Rory also changed. He developed a spine. He acquired the ability to defend himself. Rory would intervene when Amy was acting out of line and assist her in gaining perspective.
Don’t mistake Rory’s kindness and humility for fearfulness. To protect the people he cares about, Rory would gladly fall on his sword.

3) Donna Noble
Donna has been the show’s comic relief since her initial appearance in Doomsday, but there’s a lot more to her than just brightening the mood. After losing Rose, the tenth Doctor begins to retreat, and it is only with Donna’s assistance that he is finally able to return to his old self.
It would have been simple for the writers to cast her as another romantic interest, but the platonic relationship between Donna and the Doctor is arguably far more rewarding to viewers. She understands the Doctor better than most companions, as well as why he needs a companion in the first place.
4) Clara Oswald
Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman), one of Doctor Who’s most enduring companions, travelled with Doctors Eleven (Matt Smith) and Twelve. The Doctor’s regenerations were intimately linked to Clara after it was eventually discovered that she had purposefully entered the Doctor’s timestream to protect him from the Great Intelligence (Richard E Grant).
Clara sparked controversy. Some viewers complained that the authors of the programme had written so many companion-focused adventures that Clara (like Amy Pond before her) nearly took the Doctor’s place as the major character.
5) Martha Jones
Another companion, another tale of unrequited love. Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) spent most of her time yearning for Doctor Ten (David Tennant). She nevertheless proved to be a strong member to Team TARDIS. There was no time for Ten to think about Martha’s obsession with him because he was too busy crying over Rose Tyler’s (Billie Piper) leaving. Martha was able to develop into her character as a result, becoming a smart, competent doctor (of the medical sort) with a strong sense of resolve and the capacity to remain composed under pressure; she did, after all, single-handedly save the world from The Master (John Simm).
