Park Hae-soo, who starred in Netflix’s mind-boggling thriller Squid Game, will appear in the Korean adaptation of the renowned Spanish TV-series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). Andrés “Berlin” de Fonollosa, one of the drama’s lead characters, will be played by Park. Berlin will appear in an origin story spin-off set to premiere in 2023.

Following the overwhelming response to Part 1 of Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, Netflix revealed the first look at Part 2 during their annual event- Tudum. Directed by Kim Hong-sun and written by Ryu Yong-jae, the series stars renowned K-pop stars including Yoo Ji-tae, Lee Won Jong, Kim Yunjin, Kim Ji Hun, Jang Yoon Ju, Lee Hyun Woo, Kim JiHoon and Lee Kyu Ho.

1. Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016)

The movie revolves around a sea princess named Shim Cheong who met a con artist, Heo Joon Jae. They had no idea that they had already met before and were childhood friends. Legend of The Blue Sea is based on Korean folklore, and you’ll find yourself laughing out loud in between the plot twists and the intimate plotline. Park Hae Soo plays Hong Dong Pyo, a detective who investigates Joon Jae’s scams.

2.  Prison Playbook (2017)

Kim Je-hyuk, a talented baseball player, is imprisoned after rescuing his sister (Lim Hwa Young) from a violent attack. He develops a friendship with his fellow prisoners and uncovers that his old friend, Lee Joon-ho (Jung Kyung Ho), is one of the security officers watching over him.

3.  By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture (2019)

Park Hae Soo transforms into a nightclub owner Lee Chan Woo in this crime thriller. When he discovered that a drug scandal party involving big names was taking place in his organisation, Chan Woo called police officer Park Gi Hun and asked for his assistance in resolving the situation. But it turns out that politicians and prosecutors have also been implicated in the scandal.

4. Squid Game (2021)

Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung Jae) and his childhood friend Cho Sang-woo (Hae Soo) join an ominous competition of children’s games in order to pay off their debts. Things take a dramatic turn when participants begin to be eliminated one by one. With 45.6 billion Yuan on the line, Gi-hun must choose between his moral convictions and his desire to win.

5. Chimera (2021)

An unexpected explosion kills numerous people 35 years ago, but the incident is mysteriously followed by a string of serial murders. Similar events occur in the present day, prompting investigator Cha Jae-hwan (Hae Soo) to probe deeper. He is joined by criminal profiler Eugene (Claudia Kim) and doctor Lee Joong-yeob (Lee Hee Joon), both of whom have selfish reasons for looking into the recurring incident.
